I buy apples, juice, and "gemusekuchen" - a German like quiche - from the stand behind us. The woman below uses fresh farm vegetables to make the gemusekuchen. The man behind me laughed when I took her picture. "Americans."
Dave and I toasted our 11th wedding anniversary (and twenty years together) at an Italian restaurant in Frankfurt. We shared tres pasta for our second course. After dinner, we walked to our favorite gelato place, admired the city lights, and spoke in wonder about how we got here.
On Wednesday, we celebrated Obama's win. (We also celebrated the end of political ads.) The time difference allowed us to watch the speeches live since CNN announced the win as we woke up. Owen, concerned about the election asked, "Romny's not going to get any presents? Santa is not going to come for him?"
